Account Executive
Position Description
We currently have an opportunity for an Account Executive. The position will provide insurance and risk reduction solutions to clients and prospects to proactively meet and exceed client needs. This role involves sales through an established marketing process to maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, and carriers.
Additional duties include:
- Serving as a goodwill ambassador in the community with current clients
- Identifying the latest trends in the insurance marketplace best suited for the specific needs of prospects and clients
- Developing client and carrier relationships to provide the best outcomes
The position will also develop strategic sales and action plans, implement Ollis Edge 360 business model and utilization documented process, with clear goals and objectives to increase retention and client satisfaction consistent with the agency’s mission and vision. The role will: review and communicate renewal calculations and utilization, make policy placement decisions, provide detailed information for applications of coverage, attend meetings and seminars to maintain knowledge of the industry, negotiate coverage levels and premiums to provide optimum coverage levels for clients, and communicate effectively and courteously to clients and vendors.
The position requires a Missouri Producer Insurance license. Three or more years of business insurance experience and industry-specific certifications are preferred.
Account Manager (Group Benefits)
About the position:
We currently have an opportunity for an Account Manager in our Group Benefits Department. This position is responsible for providing exceptional service and support of current and prospective clients, carriers, team members and Advisors for groups of 2 – 99 lives. This position would also provide administrative support for Account Managers servicing larger groups of 100+ lives.
Additional duties may include:
- General marketing for group renewals and implementations such as updating census requests, application set up/completion, requesting information from groups & submission to carriers, creation/editing of Employee Benefit Guides for employee meetings.
- Complex marketing for group renewals and implementations such as requesting/reviewing claims data, understanding marketing and spreadsheets of more complex plan designs and when to request add-ins based on advisor request/current client benefits.
- Review and analyze client coverage levels to ensure they meet client needs; recommend changes as needed.
- Prepare quotations, proposals and coverage summaries to provide exceptional care to customers.
- Prepare and submit coverages, renewals and submissions to carrier marketplace according to established procedures.
- Follow through on all inquiries, requests, and submissions to ensure timely receipt and response.
- Verify accuracy of proposals, issued policies/certificates/booklets; provide communication and documentation to client with appropriate correspondence.
- Provide support to Advisors to include cross-selling and upgrading opportunities.
- Request, create, and/or assemble marketing & communication materials as requested by Advisor.
- Communicate effectively and courteously to clients, employees, and carriers via telephone, email, or in person, when required, regarding benefits, enrollment and service inquiries.
- Provide client training on enrollment and implementation procedures, including online application software, when utilized.
- Perform general office duties including answering phones, making copies, preparing faxes etc.
- Maintain and update activity records in agency management system according to current process and procedure (including requesting plan documents from carriers & imaging into database).
- Perform additional duties as requested by Advisor, management or team members.
Experience:
Associates degree, equivalent college coursework, or equivalent experience in the industry insurance preferred. Must have a Missouri Life & Health Producer License, or willingness to obtain. Implementation experience with partner online enrollment portal providers, including renewal implementation, open enrollment and general trouble shooting preferred.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of current life & health insurance regulations including COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, FSA, HRA, HSA, ACA, and other legislation; strong communication skills; ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment; strong attention to detail; and the ability to multi-task in a paperless environment.
Associate Account Manager (Personal Lines)
Position Description
We currently have an opportunity for an Associate Account Manager in our Personal Lines Department. This position is responsible for providing exceptional service and support to clients, carriers, team members, and Advisors.
Additional duties may include:
- Provide excellence in customer service to the existing client base as well as internal
- Assist Account Manager in preparing quotations, proposals, binders, endorsements, and coverage
- Assist Account Manager in preparing and submitting new business and/or account renewals to carrier marketplace according to established procedures.
- Order and issue binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and other related items; verify accuracy; provide client or account manager documentation with appropriate correspondence.
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and binders for PL Advisors upon
- Perform general office duties, including answering phones, making copies, preparing faxes,
- Follow through on all inquiries, requests, and submissions to ensure timely receipt and

Experience:
An associate’s degree or equivalent college coursework is preferred. Work experience in a professional environment and the insurance industry is preferred. A Missouri Life & Health Producer License is preferred, or the ability to obtain the designation within the first six months of employment.

Advisor
About the Position
We currently have an opening for an Advisor. This sales position is responsible for providing risk reduction strategies and insurance (commercial or group benefits) solutions to clients and prospects to proactively meet and exceed client needs.
This role involves sales through an established marketing process requiring development and maintenance of strong relationships with clients, prospects, and carriers.
Additional duties may include:
- Identifying latest trends in insurance marketplace and assess the appropriate programs, plans and options best suited for the specific needs of prospects and clients.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with current clients, prospects, key decision-makers, and carrier representation to provide the best outcomes
- Developing strategic sales and action plans, including the pursuit of referral business and utilization of cold-calling techniques, with clear goals and objectives to increase sales, consistent with agency mission and values.
- Duties also include identifying risks within client organizations, challenges in mitigating or preventing the risk, verifying the accuracy of proposals/issued policies/certificates/booklets and providing communication and documentation to clients with appropriate correspondence
- Reviewing and communicating renewal calculations, utilization information, strategic options and report data to clients
- Assessing client risk situations to ensure they meet the agency’s standards and those of the companies represented.
Experience
- Three or more years of sales experience with prior insurance industry experience preferred.
- Industry-specific certifications preferred. Missouri property and casualty and/or Missouri life and heath licenses, or willingness to obtain, are required.

Advisor Intern
Position Description
We currently have an opportunity for an Advisor Intern. The position will assist in providing insurance and risk reduction solutions to clients and prospects to proactively meet and exceed client needs. This role will develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects and carriers by implementing established advisor processes.
Additional duties include:
- Identifying viable prospects and developing clientele in coordination with Advisors.
- Pursuing prospect appointments.
- Utilizing cold-calling techniques.
The position will verify the accuracy of proposals and issued policies/certificates/booklets and assemble detailed information necessary to complete applications for insurance coverages. The position will attend meetings and seminars to learn new products, services and skills within the insurance industry, and prepare sales presentations and education meetings in coordination with the Advisor. The position will also review coverage levels and premiums to gain an understanding of optimum level recommendations for clients.
The position requires a high school diploma, and higher education in Sales, Business, Insurance and/or Risk Management is preferred.
Receptionist
Position Description
We currently have an opportunity for a Receptionist. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to those who call and visit the agency. The ideal candidate will communicate professionally with others and have prior experience as a receptionist. The position may be full-time or part-time.
Additional duties of the position include utilizing a multi-line phone system to answer and direct telephone calls to appropriate agency personnel for multiple agency locations and provide expert guidance and education to staff regarding Ring Central system capabilities. The position will greet visitors, provide hospitality, and provide excellence in customer service. The role will process incoming and outgoing mail and faxes, create and assemble policy binders, assist in ordering office supplies, and perform opening and closing procedures.
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
