Paul Long has been a licensed insurance agent since April of 1999. Paul has had experience working for both captive and independent agencies and started The Paul Long Agency, LLC in February 2006.  Paul’s agency was acquired by Ollis/Akers/Arney Insurance & Business Advisors in July 2018.  Paul works with all lines of insurance, specializing in business clients and farming clients. He is a member of NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors) and has received his LUTCF designation (Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow). 

Paul is very active in his community. He is a two-time Auto-Owners insurance president’s club member, two top-agent award for Coventry Medicare Health Plans in Southwest Missouri, past 3rd generation Bolivar Area Chamber of Commerce President, past 3rd generation Bolivar Rotary Club President, past President of Enterprises Unlimited (the local sheltered workshop), founding board member of the Polk County Economic Coalition, and is on many other boards and committees.  He was also recognized as a 2019 Trusted Advisor by the Springfield Business Journal. 

The Paul Long Agency was named Small Business of the Year in 2009, the first and only insurance agency to hold this honor by the Bolivar Area Chamber of Commerce. Paul started Long Investment Group in 2013, purchasing the Payne Implement Company doing tractor parts sales/repair, and in 2015 started Long Farms, a working crop and cattle farm.

Family is very important to Paul! Paul has been married to his wife, Brenda, for 26 years. They have two sons, a daughter, and a daughter-in-law, as well as a much-adored grandson.
